Creative work
The entrepreneur of handmade things
The artistry was never only kites. This is the range of the working practice behind them — enterprise, craft, and a kitchen that became a classroom.
A cottage industry built on her own hands
Through Shyam Art & Craft, Bhavna designs and makes artistic kites, handicrafts, handmade candles, and handmade jewellery. Her promotional kite work has been associated with the films Shamitabh, Jai Ho, and Street Dancer 3.
Her craft roots run deep: a painting, fine arts, and crafts teacher in the late 1990s, formally trained in jewellery design in 2006–07, and organizing candle-making, mehndi, and natural soft-drink workshops by 2008. In 2013, GCCI’s Business Women Wing recognized her with its Swayam Siddha honour; in 2025–26, the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of India presented her its India Excellence Award for Creative Manufacturing.
Food & teaching
Live cookery shows during the International Kite Festival at Sabarmati Riverfront — including ETV Gujarati’s Rasoi ni Ramzat at IKF 2016, where she appeared as the expert — re-telecast on public demand, plus TV9 Gujarati’s 5 Star Tadka as cooking expert, cookery classes, and recipe teaching on her own channels.
From her kitchen, on her channel
A taste of her recipe teaching — mukhwas, dal, sharbat, sweets, and continental dishes, from her own YouTube channel. Nothing plays until you press play; each video then loads YouTube’s player.
