The story on the kite
Duryodhana — literally dur, extremely hard, and yodhana, fight: the one with whom the fight is extremely hard — is a major character of the Mahabharata and was the eldest of the Kauravas, the hundred sons of the blind king Dhritarashtra and queen Gandhari. Being the first-born son of the blind king, he was the crowned prince of Hastinapura, along with his cousin Yudhishthira, who was a few days older than him. Karna was Duryodhana’s closest friend.
Notably, with significant assistance from Karna, Duryodhana performed the Digvijaya Yatra while the Pandavas were in exile — conquering kings in every direction of the world and establishing himself as its emperor.
